Civil Drainage Lead

We're seeking a Civil Drainage Lead to take ownership of local-area drainage systems in the Baton Rouge region, serving as the technical authority and go‑to resource for complex municipal drainage initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Own the drainage program for a defined local area, serving as the primary point of contact and subject-matter expert for all drainage-related needs.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct Civil Engineering work across projects of varying size and complexity.
- Lead hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage design, and stormwater infrastructure planning.
- Develop drainage reports, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Prepare technical memoranda, design documentation, and electronic deliverables; perform data analysis and support projects throughout design and construction phases.
- Collaborate with city boards, parish meetings to ensure proactive project delivery, technical excellence, and strong client relationships.
- Conduct and oversee field assessments, system evaluations, and drainage investigations.
- Provide engineering support during construction, including submittal reviews, and site visits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 8-15 years of directly relevant experience in drainage engineering, stormwater design, or municipal infrastructure.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Louisiana (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
- Strong background in hydrology/hydraulics, modeling, and drainage system design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, agencies, and project teams.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and serve as the authoritative resource in a technical domain.
