Client Director
Client Director - Boston - Water/Wastewater
This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) or service-based infrastructure projects in the water and wastewater sector, primarily focused on the Northeastern U.S. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project execution-from schedule and budget to team management and client engagement-and play a key role in expanding our presence in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure programs, with a focus on water/wastewater conveyance systems.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and interdisciplinary coordination to ensure on-time, high-quality project completion.
- Drive technical excellence, safety, and contractual compliance.
- Lead cross-functional internal and external teams through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Oversee project staffing and support resource allocation.
Client Engagement & Business Development
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with public and private sector clients.
- Lead strategic business development efforts: identify opportunities, develop marketing strategies, prepare proposals, and conduct presentations.
- Lead or support major pursuits, including large-scale stormwater and CSO (combined sewer overflow) initiatives.
- Drive sales goals and be accountable for client satisfaction and revenue growth in the region.
- Partner with regional leadership to expand market presence and service offerings.
Strategic Market Development
- Contribute to the development of business plans and regional growth strategies.
- Provide insights on client needs, procurement trends, and alternative project delivery methods.
- Engage in industry-wide working groups and practices that advance CSO and conveyance solutions.
- Support clients in long-term capital planning and risk-based decision-making.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team supporting public infrastructure projects in the Northeast.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development pathways.
- Identify team training needs and support recruiting efforts to strengthen regional capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in water and wastewater infrastructure delivery
- Proven leadership and business development track record
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Strong financial and commercial management experience
- Deep understanding of contract terms, negotiations, and risk mitigation strategies
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to meet all onboarding and compliance requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and driving record review in accordance with applicable laws
