Construction Project Engineer
A leading heavy civil construction firm based in Connecticut is seeking a Project Engineer to join its growing team. The company is actively expanding its Environmental Division and has secured an extensive project backlog, offering a stable pipeline of work and long-term career potential. The firm specializes in infrastructure projects including water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, water and sewer lines, and related utility work. The Project Engineer will be based primarily in Connecticut, with minimal travel required.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely execution.
- Support project managers in managing budgets, timelines, and documentation.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance and accuracy.
- Coordinate with field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
- Track quantities, prepare reports, and maintain accurate project records.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a project engineering or similar role within heavy civil or utility infrastructure.
- Familiarity with water/wastewater infrastructure and utility construction preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
