Construction Superintendent

Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the on-site execution of commercial-scale solar construction projects across New York State. This role is responsible for managing all field operations, including subcontractor coordination, material and equipment logistics, schedule adherence, and strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar photovoltaic (PV) construction and a proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and equipment to maintain efficient site operations.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors.
• Monitor and update project schedules, reporting progress and delays to the Project Manager.
• Enforce compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage site inspections, punch lists, and project turnover documentation.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, safety logs, and field communications.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, SWPPP, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and resolve field issues quickly to avoid delays or cost overruns.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of general construction experience; 3-5 years in solar PV preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools.
• Electrical background and experience with large-scale solar projects are a plus.
• Willingness to travel and work in varying weather conditions and remote locations.
