A dynamic engineering firm specializing in MEP design is seeking a Electrical Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on electrical systems design for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use buildings, offering flexibility, technical growth, and the opportunity to work on impactful projects nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and controls.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, architects, and contractors to deliver coordinated solutions.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
- Conduct virtual site assessments and support project delivery from concept through construction.
- Stay current with industry codes, standards, and sustainable design practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in electrical systems design for commercial or institutional buildings.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IBC).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with energy-efficient design and LEED documentation.
- Knowledge of building automation systems and controls.
- Project management experience.
