Responsibilities
- Support detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater treatment facilities with guidance from senior engineering staff
- Perform load calculations and develop detailed conduit routing layouts
- Contribute to motor control center and switchgear design and specifications
- Assist with preparation of technical documentation and project deliverables
- Participate in business development and marketing efforts as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering design
- Professional engineering licensure required (e.g., P.Eng or equivalent)
- Experience with power system analysis, including short circuit calculations, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factor
- Field investigation and commissioning/start-up experience
- Working knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, CEC, NFPA, NESC)
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Client-facing experience and strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Additional professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP)
Compensation
- Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000 CAD annually
- Compensation is based on factors including experience, education, certifications, location, and overall qualifications
