About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Project Manager, you will oversee multi‑million‑dollar electrical construction projects from inception through closeout. You'll manage teams, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and client relationships-ensuring every project is delivered safely, profitably, and to the highest standard of excellence.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead confidently, communicate effectively, and maintain control over complex project environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Manage electrical projects of varying size and complexity, including large‑scale builds over $10M.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, forecasting, and performance-making adjustments to keep work on track.
- Lead project teams with clarity, accountability, and strong communication.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and partners.
- Ensure expectations are clearly set and consistently met.
- Address issues proactively with a solutions‑oriented mindset.
Resource & Subcontractor Oversight
- Manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, project requirements, and safety protocols.
Financial Control
- Track project financials, including costs, forecasting, and change orders.
- Identify cost‑saving strategies and drive profitability across your portfolio.
Quality, Safety & Risk Management
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce safety plans on‑site.
- Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate project records, progress reports, and documentation.
- Provide regular updates to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager in commercial or industrial construction.
- Proven success managing projects $10M+.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple complex projects.
- Proficiency with industry tools and software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid, MS Office).
- Relevant certifications (PMP, PE, etc.) are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to traverse uneven ground and climb ladders.
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while using tools and performing repetitive tasks.
