Senior Project Manager - Data Center Construction
Location: Bowling Green, Ohio
Salary Range: $140,000 to $180,000
Reports To: Director of Construction or Program Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects. This role demands a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can manage complex builds from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance. You will be responsible for overseeing project teams, maintaining client relationships, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
Lead all phases of construction projects including qualification, estimating, planning, execution, and closeout. Ensure alignment with company values and client expectations.Execution Planning:
Develop and implement detailed project execution plans. Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely delivery and adherence to schedules.Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and issues early. Create and execute mitigation and recovery plans to maintain project integrity.Financial Oversight:
Manage budgets, approve invoices, monitor job costs and productivity. Provide regular financial reporting and variance analysis.Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, end-users, and subcontractors. Build and maintain strong relationships to support project success and future opportunities.Team Development:
Mentor and develop project engineers and junior managers. Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, integrity, and innovation.Change Management:
Lead negotiations and approvals for change orders. Ensure scope changes are documented and financially accounted for.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, with at least 3 years managing data center or mission-critical projects.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and complex schedules.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with project budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera, or equivalent).
