Environmental Biologist
An established, multidisciplinary consulting firm with over 30 years of industry experience is seeking to bring on a dedicated Environmental Biologist. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning both private and public sectors, supported by a strong backlog of ongoing work. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze biological impacts and develop mitigation strategies in accordance with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) regulations.
- Manage regulatory permitting processes under USFWS, CDFW, USACE, and RWQCB requirements.
- Conduct environmental and construction monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory and ecological standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support ecological conservation and restoration initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in biological impact analysis and mitigation strategy development under CEQA.
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory permitting processes for USFWS, CDFW, USACE, and RWQCB requirements.
- Strong expertise in construction monitoring and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, field-based environment.
