Experienced Structural Engineer
A well-established structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced engineer to join its growing team. The firm has built a strong reputation delivering practical, cost-effective, and innovative structural solutions across a diverse range of building types.
They work closely with architects, contractors, and developers on projects spanning commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-family sectors. The team operates in a highly collaborative, hands-on environment, with an emphasis on long-term client relationships and consistent project delivery.
The Role
This is a senior-level position offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects and play a key role in design, coordination, and mentoring.
You'll be working in a lean team environment, giving you visibility across the full project lifecycle-from concept design through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design across:
- Commercial + office developments
- Industrial facilities + manufacturing/warehouse projects
- Institutional buildings (education, healthcare, civic)
- Multi-family residential
- Perform analysis and design using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
- Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, and clients
- Contribute to seismic retrofit and upgrade projects
- Review calculations, drawings, and construction documents
- Support and mentor junior engineers
- Help ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- PE license required (SE preferred or in progress)
- 6-12+ years of experience in structural building design
- Strong experience across multiple project types
- Familiarity with common structural software (RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, etc.)
- Seismic design experience is a plus
- Comfortable in a client-facing, collaborative environment
