Head of Marketing
Vice President / Head of Marketing & Communications
Location: Singapore (Headquarters)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Function: Marketing, Communications & Public Relations
Scope: Regional (Asia-Pacific)
Role Overview
The organization is a rapidly scaling, Asia-Pacific-focused digital infrastructure platform developing and operating next-generation, campus-style data center developments. Headquartered in Singapore, it supports the region's accelerating demand for hyperscale, cloud, and AI computing infrastructure through large-scale, sustainable developments across multiple high-growth markets.
At a pivotal stage of growth, the company is transitioning from an early-stage platform into a recognized regional leader. This role will play a defining part in shaping how the organization is perceived-by customers, partners, investors, media, and broader stakeholders.
The Vice President / Head of Marketing & Communications is a newly created, senior leadership role responsible for building the marketing and communications function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the executive team, this individual will establish the company's brand, narrative, and market presence, while creating the capabilities, processes, and team required to support long-term growth.
The Opportunity
This is a rare greenfield leadership opportunity with full executive sponsorship. As the first dedicated marketing and communications leader, you will design and implement the end-to-end strategy-defining the vision, building the operating model, and executing hands-on during the initial phase.
The mandate is threefold:
- Build a credible, independent, and trusted brand within the hyperscale data center and digital infrastructure ecosystem
- Drive sustained visibility and thought leadership across Asia-Pacific and global markets
- Establish a scalable marketing and communications function that supports commercial growth, reputation management, and enterprise value creation
The role requires a balance of strategic leadership and practical execution. You will be equally comfortable setting long-term brand direction with the board and personally drafting a press announcement, briefing an agency, or overseeing an event on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Market Positioning
- Define and own the company's brand identity, messaging framework, and visual language, ensuring consistency across all markets and touchpoints
- Develop a differentiated market positioning that reinforces credibility and trust with hyperscale and enterprise customers
- Lead brand architecture decisions, including naming conventions, sub-brands, and co-branding frameworks
- Establish brand governance practices, guidelines, and internal education to protect and grow brand equity
Public Relations, Media & Analyst Relations
- Design and execute a proactive public relations strategy across Asia-Pacific and key global markets
- Build and manage relationships with top-tier technology, infrastructure, and business media, as well as industry analysts
- Oversee all external communications, including press releases, media briefings, thought leadership content, and crisis communications
- Position senior leadership as authoritative voices in data centers, AI infrastructure, cloud, and sustainability discussions
Campaigns, Events & Industry Presence
- Develop and manage an annual marketing calendar covering industry conferences, sponsorships, proprietary events, customer roundtables, and executive briefings
- Own the end-to-end event strategy, from selection and design to content programming and post-event engagement
- Create integrated, multi-channel campaigns that combine PR, digital, content, and events to drive measurable brand awareness and pipeline influence
- Launch proprietary thought leadership platforms (e.g. research reports, whitepaper series) that generate earned media and market credibility
Digital & Content Marketing
- Build the organization's digital ecosystem from the ground up, including corporate website, LinkedIn presence, and supporting platforms
- Develop a content strategy that supports the full buyer journey, from early-stage thought leadership to customer proof points and technical materials
- Establish SEO, SEM, social media, and analytics foundations to track reach, engagement, and attribution
- Produce high-quality sales enablement tools, investor materials, presentations, and external-facing collateral
Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted communications advisor to the executive team on messaging, positioning, and reputational risk
- Lead communications around major milestones such as facility launches, customer announcements, partnerships, and sustainability initiatives
- Develop internal communications programs that reinforce culture, align teams, and support employer branding
- Coordinate government, community, and stakeholder communications related to new site developments and market entry
Team Building & Function Development
- Build the marketing and communications function from zero, including organizational design, hiring, and role definition
- Develop and manage the marketing budget with disciplined allocation across initiatives
- Select and manage agency partners across PR, creative, digital, and events in multiple markets
- Implement marketing systems, tools, and reporting frameworks to measure performance and demonstrate ROI
