My client is a fast-growing engineering consultancy delivering full-service EPCm (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) solutions to industrial manufacturers across sectors such as pulp and paper, chemicals, consumer goods, food and beverage, energy, and heavy industry.
Position Overview
They are seeking a Process/Mechanical Engineer to lead or support technical execution across a variety of client projects. These range from single-unit upgrades to full-scale, multi-phase implementations in industries including power generation, life sciences, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop process designs including PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, datasheets, and supporting documentation.
- Select and integrate mechanical/process equipment such as turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, and control systems.
- Generate heat/material and water balances.
- Review piping systems and support isometric drawing development.
- Collaborate on control system logic and DCS integration.
- Participate in internal QA reviews and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Contribute to proposals with scope, estimates, and deliverables.
- Engage with clients to support relationship development and project success.
- Apply engineering theory to practical design decisions, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in industries such as chemicals, power, food and beverage, or consumer products.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and process simulation tools (e.g., Thermoflex, AFT).
- Familiarity with piping codes (ASME B31.1/B31.3) and design standards.
- Experience in equipment selection, piping design, and commissioning.
- Proven ability to manage project phases and contribute to continuous improvement.
