Mid Level Civil Engineer

A well-established and growing engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its Land Development team in Baltimore, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of a diverse range of site development projects across the Mid-Atlantic region.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, mixed-use, and public-sector developments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the planning, design, and execution of land development projects.
- Prepare technical plans, reports, specifications, and permitting documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, regulators, and internal project teams throughout project delivery.
- Provide construction-phase support, including site visits, reviews, and technical assistance.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, surveyors, and other design professionals to achieve project objectives.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited programme.
- 11+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development design.
- Strong background in site design, permitting, and construction-phase services.
- Experience delivering residential, commercial, institutional, or industrial development projects.
- Knowledge of stormwater management and erosion & sediment control design.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or similar design software.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence preferred, or ability to obtain licensure shortly after joining.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
