Our Minority Business Enterprise/Diverse-Owned Firm client is expanding their successful New Jersey Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) division into New York City and is seeking a proven leader to drive this growth. As CEI Division Lead, you will spearhead the establishment and delivery of CEI services on local transportation projects, shaping strategy, building our client's team, and ensuring high-quality project execution across New York City.

Key Qualifications

  • PE license required - You must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, reflecting your technical competence and ability to take professional responsibility for engineering work.
  • Local project experience required - Strong experience delivering transportation or infrastructure projects in New York City, with familiarity with local agencies, standards, and procedures.
  • 15+ years of experience - Extensive background in transportation engineering and CEI, including leadership responsibilities and oversight of complex projects.

Key Skills and Focus Areas

  • CEI (Construction Engineering & Inspection) - Leading inspection teams, ensuring compliance with design, standards, and safety, and maintaining rigorous documentation and quality control.
  • Transportation Engineering - Applying engineering principles to roadways, bridges, and related infrastructure, supporting planning, design, and construction oversight.
  • Engineering Leadership - Guiding multidisciplinary engineers, mentoring staff, and setting technical standards for our client's team.
  • New York / New York City Expertise - Navigating local regulations, permitting processes, and stakeholder expectations to deliver successful projects in NYC.
