OT Network Specialist

OT Network Specialist
Maine (Rumford, Gray, or Bangor)

About the Organisation
This organisation is a multi-disciplinary electrical engineering and systems integration firm with nearly 40 years of experience serving industrial and commercial markets across the United States and internationally. Now part of a broader automation platform, it specialises in control system design, panel fabrication, and process automation for customers in corrugated, energy, and general industrial end markets.

The Role
The organisation is seeking an experienced OT Network Specialist to provide advanced operational technology support across multiple concurrent projects. This is a project-facing role, working closely with the engineering team, rather than an internal IT or help desk position. The successful candidate will bring strong OT expertise and demonstrate the ability to operate independently across a diverse industrial project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support OT network design, architecture, and implementation across active projects in corrugated, energy, and general industrial environments
  • Administer and troubleshoot control system environments, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and HMI platforms
  • Design and implement virtualization and remote access solutions within OT environments
  • Manage OT cybersecurity practices, including network segmentation, patching, access control, and endpoint protection
  • Maintain documentation for deployed OT systems and configurations
  • Collaborate with project engineers to deliver technically sound OT solutions on schedule

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in OT/IT roles within an industrial, manufacturing, or systems integration environment
  • Hands-on experience with industrial OT network systems (Cisco, Fortinet, Rockwell, or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of OT networking protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus) and OT network architecture
  • Hands-on experience with industrial control systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Emerson, or similar)
  • Experience with virtualization platforms and secure remote access in OT environments
  • Familiarity with OT cybersecurity frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443 considered an advantage)
  • Comfortable managing multiple active projects simultaneously with minimal oversight
  • Ability to work on-site at customer facilities across the United States
  • Certifications such as Cisco, Fortinet, or ISA99 are preferred

Location
Maine-based, with flexibility to work across offices in Rumford, Gray, and Bangor. Approximately 25% travel is expected.

Compensation
Total compensation ranges from $110,000 to $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
