Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plumbing systems for commercial projects including retail, grocery, and convenience stores
- Produce construction documents, including plans, specifications, and calculations, in compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Coordinate plumbing designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines
- Conduct site visits and field surveys as needed to support design and construction
- Respond to RFIs and submittals during the construction phase, and provide technical support to clients and contractors
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines across multiple active projects
- Collaborate with internal team members and external consultants to ensure project success
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in plumbing design, preferably for commercial buildings
- Working knowledge of applicable plumbing codes (IPC, UPC, local amendments, etc.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong understanding of system types (domestic water, sanitary, storm, vent, etc.) and fixture selection
- EIT certification preferred; PE track encouraged
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team setting
