Professional Engineer - Structural
A highly respected structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to join its growing Kansas City team. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and owners throughout the design and construction process while developing expertise across a wide range of structural systems and building types. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis, design calculations, and engineering evaluations for building projects.
- Develop construction documents using Revit and related engineering software.
- Coordinate structural designs with architects and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and field observations.
- Conduct site visits and support projects through construction completion.
- Perform quality control reviews of engineering work and deliverables.
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 4+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, structural materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with Revit and structural design software.
- Experience delivering projects from design through construction is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
