About the Opportunity

On behalf of a globally recognized, employee-owned general contractor ranked among the ENR Top 20, we are seeking a seasoned Project Executive to lead large-scale data center construction projects across North America. As a Project Executive, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the full lifecycle of hyperscale and enterprise data center builds, ensuring alignment with client expectations, safety standards, and financial targets. You will be the strategic leader interfacing with clients, internal teams, and trade partners to drive project success from preconstruction through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and executive-level leadership on large-scale data center construction projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and client expectations.
• Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring satisfaction through proactive communication and delivery excellence.
• Project Delivery: Oversee all phases of project execution including preconstruction, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and closeout.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor project teams including Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and Coordinators, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Financial Stewardship: Ensure financial performance of projects, including forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
• Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
• Innovation & Best Practices: Champion the use of advanced construction technologies (e.g., BIM, VDC, modular construction) and lean construction principles to enhance efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, DBIA, LEED AP) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing data center or mission-critical projects.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and the unique demands of data center construction.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams on complex, high-value projects.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs.
