Position Overview
We are supporting a growing Independent Power Producer (IPP) with an active pipeline of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects across Pennsylvania. This is a confidential search for a Project Manager to oversee project execution from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of C&I solar projects, from planning through commissioning
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Oversee schedules, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple active sites
- Review drawings, contracts, and project documentation to ensure scope alignment
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, permitting requirements, and local regulations
- Track project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule
- Lead site meetings, provide updates, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
- Support procurement efforts, including materials and subcontractor coordination
Qualifications
- 3-7+ years of project management experience in solar, construction, or related field
- Experience managing C&I solar or distributed generation projects preferred
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical plans
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Safety-focused with knowledge of OSHA standards
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar)
Preferred:
- Experience working with an IPP, EPC, or renewable energy developer
- PMP certification or equivalent
- Electrical or construction background
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Pennsylvania as needed
