Project Manager - Deep Foundations
About Us:
We are a leading geotechnical contractor specializing in ground improvement, deep foundations, earth retention, and site stabilization across the Northeast. With a strong pipeline of public and private sector projects, we're expanding our team in Buffalo and seeking a driven Project Manager to lead complex geotechnical construction projects from concept to completion.
Role Overview:
As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing all phases of geotechnical construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You'll work closely with engineers, field crews, clients, and subcontractors to manage resources, mitigate risks, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Coordinate with design teams to review geotechnical plans and specifications
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally
- Prepare and present project reports to senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical or heavy civil construction
- Proven track record managing ground improvement, piling, or earth retention projects
- Strong understanding of geotechnical methods and construction techniques
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore)
- OSHA certification and PMP preferred
