A growing multi-disciplinary engineering and design firm is seeking a Project Manager to join its Land Development team in Charlotte, North Carolina. With over four decades of experience across the Mid-Atlantic region, the firm is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in civil engineering, landscape architecture, and field services.
This role offers the opportunity to manage a wide range of land development projects, from commercial and residential developments to public infrastructure and outdoor recreational initiatives, while working alongside a passionate and skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept through completion, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.
- Prepare construction plans and design documents including grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control, and site layout.
- Perform and review engineering calculations and detailed cost estimates.
- Coordinate permitting and construction documentation for land development projects.
- Collaborate with field inspection teams and review reports to ensure construction aligns with design intent.
- Manage all aspects of project delivery including scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in land development design.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification preferred.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MicroStation with Inroads; experience with GeoPak and Civil 3D is a plus.
