Project Manager
We are currently supporting a oversea solar energy developer in their search for a Project Manager to be based in Singapore, overseeing project development activities across Southeast Asia. This role is ideal for someone with strong regional exposure who can lead development efforts across multiple countries and drive projects from concept to financial close.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead greenfield and brownfield solar PV project development across Southeast Asia, including site origination, land acquisition, permitting, and grid connection.
Build and maintain detailed financial models to support project evaluations, investment decisions, and internal approvals.
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, finance) and external consultants to drive feasibility studies and risk assessments.
Liaise with regulators, government bodies, utility companies, and landowners to navigate permitting and approval processes in various SEA markets.
Develop and manage project development timelines, ensuring milestones are met in line with regulatory, technical, and commercial requirements.
Support due diligence efforts for M&A, joint ventures, or project acquisitions, including reviewing financial and technical assumptions.
Monitor and report on development budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within cost targets.
Contribute to business case development and provide strategic input on market expansion plans.
Requirenments:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in solar project development, with regional experience across SEA markets such as Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, or Thailand.
Proven ability to build and interpret financial models including IRR, NPV, and scenario analysis.
Familiar with local regulatory environments, permitting processes, and grid connection frameworks in Southeast Asia.
Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with government agencies, utilities, and JV partners.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across different countries.
Willingness to travel across the region as needed.
