Renewables Civil Design Engineer
Position: Civil Design Engineer - Solar & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Location: Dallas/Fort-Worth, TX or Remote

A U.S.-based renewable energy engineering consultancy focused on delivering high-impact design and advisory services for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects is looking to grow their team! They partner with IPPs, developers, and EPCs to move projects from feasibility through detailed design and into construction with speed and precision. The team's work spans everything from power system studies and grid integration to full IFC design packages for large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare site layout, grading, drainage, and access road designs for solar and BESS projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all civil designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Support permitting efforts by preparing civil engineering documentation, calculations, and drawings.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to inform design decisions and address construction challenges.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution from concept through construction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2-6 years of civil design experience, preferably in renewable energy, solar, or BESS projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
- Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and site layout design principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- EIT or PE license is a plus.
