Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Architect with substantial experience in industrial projects to serve as a key client-facing leader within our architectural practice. In this role, you will guide project teams through all phases from conceptual design through construction administration while building and maintaining strong client relationships. You will mentor and direct junior and mid-level architects, ensuring design excellence, technical quality, and project delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design of complex industrial facilities, ensuring alignment with client goals, technical requirements, and industry standards.
- Serve as primary client contact, managing expectations, presenting design concepts, and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Oversee project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and quality reviews for junior and mid-level architects across all project phases.
- Coordinate closely with engineering disciplines, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.
- Develop project schedules, work plans, and documentation to ensure efficient project execution and on-time delivery.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
- Lead site visits and construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and punch lists.
- Contribute to business development efforts, such as proposal writing, client presentations, and scope development when needed.
- Champion design quality and innovation, helping to advance best practices within the firm.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- 15+ years of architectural experience, with a strong portfolio of industrial sector projects (e.g., manufacturing, distribution, process facilities).
- Licensed Architect (preferred or in advanced progress).
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong client engagement and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with design and documentation tools (Revit required; industrial planning tools a plus).
- Deep understanding of building codes, industrial facility standards, and construction processes.
