Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead public infrastructure projects. This role involves overseeing project design, guiding technical staff, managing client relationships, and ensuring high-quality project delivery from concept through construction closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead engineer for public works projects and supervise multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Develop preliminary engineering reports, project work plans, proposals, and schedules.
  • Research and interpret jurisdictional standards for incorporation into design documents.
  • Produce and review design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD/Civil3D.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, forecasting, and quality control procedures.
  • Coordinate directly with clients, conduct site visits, document findings, and support construction administration.
  • Prepare exhibits, presentations, and technical correspondence.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.
  • Support business development efforts, including client outreach and proposal participation.

Qualifications

  • Licensed PE in Colorado with significant public works experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D; GIS familiarity preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of problem‑solving complex engineering issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent service.
