Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Austin or Dallas, TX (Hybrid / Flexible)
A global, multi-disciplinary engineering and design consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing Texas team. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex building projects while collaborating with top-tier professionals across disciplines and regions.
The Role
You'll take a lead role in the design and delivery of electrical systems on medium to large-scale, technically complex projects, including:
- Healthcare
- Laboratories
- Data centers
- Commercial developments
- Higher education
- Aviation facilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading electrical design from concept through construction
- Acting as discipline lead on projects, managing quality, schedule, and commercial metrics
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary project teams locally and globally
- Maintaining strong client relationships and supporting repeat business
- Producing drawings, specifications, reports, and technical presentations
- Incorporating sustainable, resilient, and low-carbon design strategies
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
- 6+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings or infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to lead the electrical discipline on complex projects
- Strong communication and coordination skills in team-based environments
- Experience with Revit MEP / 3D BIM workflows
- Lighting design experience using tools such as AGi32, DIALux, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with power system modeling tools such as SKM or equivalent
