Senior Environmental Planner
A well‑established, nationally recognized AEC consulting firm with a strong Northern California presence is looking for a Senior Environmental Planner & Project Manager to join their growing environmental planning practice. This is an opportunity to work with a highly respected, multidisciplinary team known for technical excellence, collaborative culture, and complex, high‑profile projects across land development, infrastructure, and environmental planning.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage CEQA/NEPA efforts for a range of development and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communication for multiple concurrent projects.
- Serve as a senior technical resource-providing high‑level review and quality control on environmental documents and analyses.
- Collaborate with in‑house specialists (planning, engineering, environmental sciences, GIS, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Mentor and support junior/mid‑level staff, helping shape the future of the practice.
- Support business development through client relationship management, proposal development, and pursuit strategy.
What We're Looking For
- 12+ years of experience in environmental planning or environmental consulting.
- Strong CEQA expertise; NEPA experience highly valued.
- Proven track record managing complex, multidisciplinary projects in the AEC space.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Experience working with Northern California jurisdictions, regulatory agencies, and environmental issues.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
