Your Role
As the Lead Geotechnical Engineer, you will oversee and manage geotechnical investigations, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. This is a leadership role with both technical and strategic responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical investigations for infrastructure, commercial, and industrial projects
- Develop and review geotechnical reports, recommendations, and design parameters
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and field staff
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Support business development and proposal preparation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and QA/QC procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in the Houston region
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and site characterization
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Experience with CMT operations is a plus
