We are partnering with a leading engineering consultancy experiencing strong growth across its maritime portfolio. With a healthy pipeline of projects across ports, harbours, coastal infrastructure, defence and marine transportation facilities, we are seeking an experienced Senior Maritime Engineer to join a high-performing team.
This is an opportunity to work on complex and nationally significant projects while playing a key role in the technical delivery, client management and mentoring of junior engineers.
The Role
As a Senior Maritime Engineer, you will be involved in the planning, design and delivery of a wide range of maritime infrastructure projects, including:
- Ports, wharves, jetties and berthing structures
- Coastal and marine infrastructure
- Marine terminals and waterfront developments
- Asset assessments and rehabilitation projects
- Defence and transport-related maritime facilities
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of maritime structures
- Deliver projects from concept through to detailed design and construction
- Undertake structural assessments and asset inspections
- Manage technical inputs, project deliverables and quality assurance
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support business development activities and proposal preparation
- Mentor and develop junior engineers
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership
- Proven experience in maritime, coastal or marine infrastructure projects
- Strong design experience across steel, concrete and piled structures
- Familiarity with relevant Australian and international maritime design standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
