This is an owner‑side role, acting as the client's technical and construction advocate, overseeing MEP delivery from design through commissioning and handover on complex, fast‑track data center projects.

Role Overview

As a Senior MEP Construction Manager, you will represent the owner's interests on site and across project teams, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and critical systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards expected on hyperscale data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Owner's Representative for all MEP scopes on active data center projects
  • Oversee MEP construction from preconstruction, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover
  • Lead coordination between general contractors, MEP trade partners, designers, commissioning agents, and vendors
  • Review design documents, submittals, RFIs, and change events for technical accuracy and constructability
  • Monitor schedule, cost, quality, and risk related to all MEP systems
  • Conduct site walks, inspections, and readiness reviews
  • Track issues, risks, and corrective actions, escalating where necessary to protect owner outcomes
  • Support commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and closeout documentation
  • Provide clear, concise reporting to owners and stakeholders

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of MEP construction experience within data center projects (hyperscale or mission‑critical preferred)
  • Background working for a general contractor, MEP contractor, or owner's rep / consultancy
  • Strong understanding of critical infrastructure, including power, cooling, redundancy, and commissioning processes
  • Experience operating in fast‑track, high‑value data center environments
  • Comfortable working in an owner‑facing, oversight‑focused role
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the U.S.
