About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale HVAC, mechanical, and piping projects across commercial and industrial environments. This position is ideal for a seasoned project leader with strong technical aptitude, proven field experience, and the ability to manage complex mechanical system installations from design through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end‑to‑end project execution for HVAC, chilled water, hydronic, and process piping installations.
- Develop detailed project plans including schedules, manpower forecasts, equipment/material procurement strategies, and budget management.
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
- Ensure all mechanical work complies with project specifications, building codes, safety standards, and QA/QC processes.
- Lead project meetings, coordinate with design teams, and drive timely resolution of mechanical and piping-related design issues.
- Manage subcontractors and internal installation crews, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to scope.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, review mechanical installation quality, and enforce safety protocols.
- Prepare project status reports, cost tracking, and schedules for stakeholder and executive review.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of project management experience in HVAC, mechanical, piping, or related construction disciplines.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems including air handling units, VRF/VRV systems, boilers, chillers, pumps, and piping distribution.
- Proven track record of successfully managing medium to large‑scale mechanical construction or retrofit projects.
- Excellent understanding of HVAC drawings, P&IDs, submittals, and mechanical specifications.
- Proficiency with project management and construction scheduling tools (MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- PMP or relevant mechanical/technical certifications are a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing mechanical projects in mission-critical, healthcare, industrial, or commercial environments.
- Familiarity with fabrication workflows, shop drawings, BIM coordination, and pre‑construction planning.
- Ability to manage fast‑paced schedules with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
