A privately held infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Senior Civil Highway Engineer - Project Manager to lead the development of a new transportation-focused team in the Pacific Northwest. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in highway design and a strong interest in team leadership and strategic growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and lead a regional transportation engineering practice
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee project delivery
- Ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards
- Conduct engineering analyses and propose design solutions
- Develop plans and models using industry-standard software
- Prepare technical documentation and client deliverables
- Coordinate with public agencies, stakeholders, and community groups
- Lead alternative delivery projects
- Mentor junior staff and support professional development
- Assist with client development and proposal efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain shortly after hire
- PMP certification is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation infrastructure design
- Demonstrated success in project and team management
- Familiarity with applicable regulations and permitting processes
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Bentley
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
