About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer to lead and support planning, design, and construction efforts for complex water and wastewater pipeline infrastructure projects throughout Southern California. This role is ideal for an engineer who brings strong technical expertise, proven project delivery skills, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Preliminary Design
- Lead conceptual and preliminary design tasks for water and wastewater pipeline infrastructure.
- Conduct site visits, oversee field investigations, and coordinate data collection.
- Perform alternatives analyses and prepare technical reports and design documentation.
Design & Technical Engineering
- Develop designs for water transmission, distribution, wastewater collection, and related pipeline systems.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and calculations to size and select system components.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for pipeline and utility infrastructure projects.
- Provide constructability reviews and develop technical recommendations.
Collaboration & Project Delivery
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, modelers, and technicians.
- Support engineering services during construction through review of contractor submittals, RFIs, and design clarifications.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in water and wastewater pipeline engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to apply critical thinking to develop technical solutions and project options.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience with pipeline design, hydraulic calculations, and engineering during construction.
