Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer- Raleigh, North Carolina (Remote Available)

An established engineering firm is seeking a highly experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer with progressive expertise in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure. This includes systems such as treatment facilities, transmission pipelines, storage tanks, pump stations, force mains, and sanitary sewer systems. This position offers flexibility in location and can be based anywhere within North Carolina (Remote).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater projects.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality standards to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Participate in all project phases, including procurement, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Support construction activities such as pre-bid meetings, bid evaluations, and contract preparation.
  • Develop technical proposals and contribute to strategic project planning.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders through presentations, reports, and meetings.
  • Mentor and support junior engineering staff, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
  • Ensure accurate billing and monitor work-in-progress to maintain financial health of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater systems.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain licensure within six months
