Role Overview
As the Data Center Director, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the region's growth strategy within the data center sector, covering hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise environments. This role blends market expansion, stakeholder engagement, and technical oversight to strengthen the company's position as a trusted partner for data center owners and operators.
Responsibilities
- Develop and roll out a cohesive APAC Data Center market strategy in alignment with global direction.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, service gaps, and high‑potential growth areas across the data center ecosystem.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision‑makers and technical leaders in hyperscale and enterprise environments.
- Oversee the pursuit of strategic opportunities-from pipeline development to commercial negotiation.
- Provide subject matter expertise in data center design, construction, commissioning, and compliance to support project delivery teams.
- Drive collaboration across regional business units to ensure unified go‑to‑market execution.
- Participate in global working groups and contribute to solution development and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
- 10-15 years of experience in the data center industry, including at least 5-10 years in a leadership, strategy, or business development capacity.
- Demonstrated success in securing and delivering major data center projects across the APAC region.
- A strong professional network within the hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise segments.
- Professional certifications (CDCP, CDCS, PMP, LEED, Uptime, etc.) are a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to navigate cross‑cultural environments.
- Willingness to travel frequently across key regional hubs.
