Site Assessment and Remediation Seller/Doer

An established and highly respected environmental and water resources consulting firm is seeking a Principal Environmental Engineer to join its growing Site Assessment and Remediation team in Sacramento, California. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex environmental investigation and remediation projects for public- and private-sector clients.

  • Oversee the development of work plans, feasibility studies, remedial designs, and regulatory strategies.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and lead proposal efforts.

  • Provide technical and strategic guidance to multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in regulatory compliance, hydrogeology, or remediation technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.

  • California Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in environmental consulting, with significant experience in site assessment and remediation.

  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development.

  • Strong knowledge of California and federal environmental regulations (e.g., DTSC, Water Boards, EPA).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Salary Range:
$160,000 - $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
