Structural Engineer (Building Design)

A globally recognised structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing team. With an international footprint and a strong reputation for technical excellence, this firm delivers innovative, high-quality solutions across complex building projects.

The Role

This position is ideal for a motivated structural engineer with strong design experience who is ready to take on increased responsibility in project delivery, coordination, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design across a variety of building types
  • Manage and coordinate design team members to deliver calculations and documentation
  • Select structural systems and materials, and assist with specification development
  • Coordinate with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations
  • Prepare technical reports and contribute to diagnostic investigations and peer reviews
  • Manage project tasks, schedules, and internal team coordination
  • Attend client meetings and support ongoing business development efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural focus required)
  • Minimum 4+ years of structural engineering experience in building design
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) licence in current state of residence
  • Proficiency in structural design and modelling software such as RAM, Tekla, Revit, and BIM 360
  • Strong understanding of building codes and structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage workload effectively while contributing to team success
