Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Bridge Superintendent to lead day to day field operations on bridge and heavy civil projects. This individual will be responsible for coordinating crews, driving production, maintaining quality, and making sure work is completed safely and on schedule. The role is best suited to someone who is comfortable running complex infrastructure work in the field and working closely with project teams to keep operations moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide field leadership on bridge and heavy civil construction projects.
- Plan and coordinate daily jobsite activities, manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors throughout the life of the project.
- Review plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure work is sequenced properly and executed to requirements.
- Track production, identify field issues early, and adjust operations to keep projects on track.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all site activities.
- Maintain daily reports, progress updates, and clear communication between field and office teams.
- Help ensure work is delivered to high quality standards with a strong focus on accountability and follow through.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a Superintendent or senior field leadership role within bridge or heavy civil construction is preferred.
- Strong understanding of bridge work, transportation projects, structural concrete, and related civil scopes.
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage work in demanding field environments.
- Comfort reading plans, managing sequencing, and coordinating multiple moving parts on active jobsites.
- Clear communication skills and a hands on leadership style.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and team accountability.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to jobsites as needed.
