I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a long-standing engineering consultancy that is looking to expand its transport team with the addition of a Mid to Senior Traffic Engineer based in Sydney.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's ready to step into a more senior role or continue developing as a well-rounded traffic engineering professional.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will join a collaborative, high-performing team and play a key role in delivering traffic and transport impact assessments, traffic modelling, design advice, and strategic planning input across a range of public and private sector projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review traffic and transport impact assessments
Undertake intersection analysis and traffic modelling (SIDRA and similar tools)
Provide traffic engineering input into development applications and infrastructure design
Liaise with clients, councils, and transport authorities
Contribute to project management and mentoring of junior engineers (as applicable)
What We're Looking For:
Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related field
4-10 years of experience in traffic engineering or transport planning
Proficient with SIDRA and relevant traffic modelling tools
Solid understanding of NSW planning and transport guidelines
Strong communication and report writing skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Previous consultancy experience is strongly preferred
