Water Resources Project Manager
A growing civil engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Senior Water Resources Project Manager to join its dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver complex water resources projects, contribute to strategic growth initiatives, and advance into a leadership position within the discipline team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in water resources design and analysis.
- Design and evaluate stormwater management systems for public infrastructure projects.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including stormwater and drainage system analysis.
- Perform floodplain studies, bridge hydraulics assessments, and scour countermeasure design.
- Manage and deliver a variety of water resource projects such as watershed plans, erosion and sediment control, and environmental restoration.
- Collaborate with clients, project teams, and public agencies to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
- Support construction projects through office-based and on-site involvement.
- Prepare permit applications addressing environmental compliance for water-related projects.
- Lead project tasks, manage budgets, and coordinate with subcontractors.
- Develop construction documents including plans, specifications, and technical reports.
- Work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines to solve design challenges.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
- 8-12 years of experience in water resources or transportation engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado.
- Proficiency with design and modeling tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, GIS, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HY-8, TR-55, and TR-20.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with local and state agencies in Colorado.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer.
- Experience with projects in Texas or other U.S. regions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually (based on experience, education, and qualifications).
