The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a Project Manager who wants to move beyond a traditional delivery model and take on more meaningful, strategy-driven work within the water resources space.

You will work closely with a specialized, highly collaborative team tackling complex watershed challenges, with the opportunity to influence both project outcomes and broader solutions. The firm offers an environment where Project Managers have greater autonomy, visibility, and impact compared to larger, more rigid organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water resources andstormwater projects, including:
    • Watershed planning and analysis
    • Stormwater management and drainage systems
    • Flood control and resilience initiatives
  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients and regional stakeholders
  • Guide hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or similar
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, practical solutions
  • Contribute to project strategy and support business development efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Approximately 7-12 years of experience in water resources or stormwater engineering
  • Strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, and watershed systems
  • Experience managing projects and working directly with clients
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

What Sets This Role Apart

  • Opportunity to work in a non-traditional, innovation-focused environment within the water sector
  • Exposure to complex watershed and stormwater challenges, not just standard design work
  • Greater ownership and flexibility in how projects are approached and delivered
  • Direct collaboration with experienced technical leaders on a day-to-day basis
  • Involvement in strategy and solution development, not just execution
  • A culture that values initiative, creativity, and forward-thinking approaches
  • Clear opportunity to grow into senior leadership roles within a rapidly expanding practice

Compensation

$135,000 - $165,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits.

This role is well suited to a Project Manager who is looking for more than a traditional consulting position-someone who wants to work on meaningful water challenges, contribute to innovative solutions, and take on a visible, impactful role within a growing organization.
