Sales Account Manager - Mechanical Service

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager to drive service growth and develop long-term client relationships within the healthcare and commercial markets. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and promoting HVAC and mechanical service solutions, including preventative maintenance agreements, repairs, retrofits, and energy efficiency upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling mechanical service solutions and a strong understanding of commercial building systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with facility managers, building engineers, property managers, healthcare administrators, and ownership groups.
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and client engagement.
  • Grow recurring revenue through preventative maintenance agreements and service contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for repairs, equipment replacements, retrofits, controls upgrades, and energy-saving solutions.
  • Conduct site visits, assess customer needs, and develop tailored service solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate closely with service technicians, project managers, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and customer challenges within healthcare and commercial facilities.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and act as a trusted advisor to clients.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical services, facilities services, or construction-related sales.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships and generate new business.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, maintenance programs, and building operations.
  • Experience selling preventative maintenance agreements, service contracts, or capital improvement projects preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the region.
