Air Quality Project Manager
A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced air quality environmental professional to support industrial and commercial clients with environmental compliance, permitting, and project management activities. This role involves managing environmental projects, preparing regulatory submissions, conducting compliance assessments, and providing technical guidance related to air quality and other environmental programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare environmental permit applications and supporting technical documentation.
- Conduct site assessments, inspections, and compliance reviews to evaluate adherence to applicable environmental regulations.
- Calculate and estimate emissions, including routine operational emissions, greenhouse gas emissions, and emissions associated with maintenance, startup, and shutdown activities.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including scope development, scheduling, budget tracking, and client communication.
- Assist with the preparation of environmental compliance documents and regulatory filings related to air, water, waste, and chemical management programs.
- Support environmental audits, compliance evaluations, and environmental management initiatives.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and provide technical recommendations to clients and project teams.
- Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation, and regulatory correspondence.
- Maintain compliance with established health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant environmental compliance, permitting, or consulting experience; additional experience preferred.
- Experience preparing regulatory permit applications and supporting environmental compliance programs.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including air quality permitting and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with emissions inventory development, emissions calculations, and regulatory reporting.
- Sustainability, greenhouse gas reporting, or ESG-related experience is a plus.
