Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bridge Designer to join our growing transportation infrastructure team. This role involves the design and analysis of bridge structures for highway and rail projects, working closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and detailing of new and rehabilitated bridge structures, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation-related structures.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenBridge, LEAP Bridge, STAAD, or similar).
- Support senior engineers in project development, including field inspections and report preparation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including roadway, geotechnical, and environmental staff.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (AASHTO, DOT), and client requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-6 years of relevant bridge design experience.
- Proficiency in bridge design software and CAD platforms.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Ohio and/or Indiana DOT standards is a plus.
