About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Bushfire Consultant to join a leading environmental consultancy specializing in bushfire risk assessment and mitigation. This role involves working closely with clients, councils, and developers to deliver high-quality bushfire management plans and advice that meet regulatory requirements and promote community safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Bushfire Management Plans (BMPs) and Bushfire Hazard Assessments in line with state planning regulations.
- Conduct on-site bushfire risk assessments and provide expert recommendations.
- Liaise with local councils, developers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
- Advise on bushfire mitigation strategies for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
- Stay updated on legislation, standards, and best practices in bushfire management.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Forestry, Ecology, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in bushfire consulting or hazard assessment.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland bushfire regulations and planning frameworks.
- Excellent report writing and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
