Responsibilities:

  • Site & Technology Feasibility: Assess site viability and evaluate generation technologies/OEM options to recommend optimal technical solutions.
  • Technical Development & Modeling: Produce plant performance/emissions estimates, develop technical inputs for interconnection requests, and build all technical inputs for the financial model.
  • Engineering & Infrastructure Coordination: Oversee site layouts and drawings, evaluate infrastructure requirements (access, interconnection, pipelines), and manage survey, owner's engineer, and other technical consultants.
  • Permitting, Contracts & Due Diligence: Support all permitting activities, lead development/negotiation of technical contracts (EPC, OEM, O&M), and provide technical due diligence for project finance and acquisitions.
  • Construction & Stakeholder Support: Assist construction management with technical issues and deliver technical presentations to project managers, leadership, equity partners, and development stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of IPP power industry experience with strong technical and commercial background; deep knowledge of combustion turbine/combined‑cycle technology, environmental considerations, and EPC contract fundamentals.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven ability to lead small teams and drive project and corporate objectives.
  • Highly self‑sufficient, able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Detail‑oriented communicator and effective collaborator across engineering, legal, finance, operations, and accounting; strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Assertive, confident, and willing to voice informed opinions, even when unfavorable.
