Director of Site Civil Engineering

We are seeking a Director of Site Civil Engineering to lead and grow a new Land Development team based in Nashville, TN. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing project management, team development, client relationships, and profitability within the Land Development division. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the team while working hands-on with AutoCAD to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage land development projects including stormwater management, and sanitary sewer systems, and erosion control.
- Oversee multiple projects with competing deadlines, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Manage regulatory permitting processes and maintain strong relationships with local agencies.
- Prepare proposals, scopes, and budgets; manage financials including invoicing and receivables.
- Drive business development by managing existing clients and attracting new ones.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing Civil/Site team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 10+ years of site design experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Deep knowledge of Tennessee land use regulations and permitting processes.
- Strong technical expertise in stormwater, hydraulics, grading, and site development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
