Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts, including market strategy, opportunity identification, proposals, and client presentations
- Serve as the primary interface with assigned clients, strengthening long-term partnerships and identifying future work
- Oversee delivery of multi-million-dollar water and wastewater projects, ensuring performance, quality, and financial outcomes
- Provide leadership and oversight to project and engineering managers throughout project execution
- Manage project commercial aspects, including budgets, contracts, invoicing, and financial performance reviews
- Mentor, develop, and support technical staff while contributing to team growth and succession planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
- Extensive experience (typically 12-20+ years) in water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated leadership in client management, project delivery, and business development
- Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, and performance metrics
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage commercial risk
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and internal teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Advanced degree in engineering or a related field
- Experience leading programs or accounts within municipal or public-sector water markets
- Track record of successfully delivering large, complex infrastructure projects
- Experience developing and mentoring high-performing technical and project teams
