Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Superintendent to serve as the primary onsite leader for large‑scale, ground‑up electrical construction projects throughout the Dallas market. This role oversees multiple crews and subordinate supervisors on projects typically valued at $20M+, ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
As the senior‑most field leader, you will drive productivity, enforce safety protocols, support project controls, and build strong relationships with project teams, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Daily Operations
- Lead all onsite field operations while enforcing compliance with company safety programs, OSHA regulations, and project‑specific safety requirements.
- Direct and mentor Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality installations.
- Manage daily project activities, manpower planning, equipment coordination, and material logistics.
- Lead and participate in preconstruction, coordination, and weekly progress meetings.
Project Execution & Controls
- Maintain project schedules, labor forecasts, and productivity reports.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues impacting schedule, cost, quality, or design.
- Maintain strict adherence to drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Documentation & Reporting
- Oversee change order development, as‑built documentation, daily reports, and progress tracking.
- Support project cost control, progress billing, and monthly forecasting.
- Review RFI logs and help drive timely resolution of outstanding items.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Conduct ongoing site inspections and accompany client or third‑party inspectors during reviews.
- Ensure high standards of site organization, housekeeping, and quality control.
- Confirm that all installations meet state, local, and national electrical codes.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Drive consistency and efficiency across field operations and project teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven leadership managing large‑scale electrical construction projects valued at $20M+.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, sequencing, and installation methods.
- Exceptional organizational and scheduling abilities.
- Effective communicator with field teams, leadership, and external partners.
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving capability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Licensing Requirements
- Active Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
- Out‑of‑state candidates must be able to obtain a Texas electrical license as a condition of employment.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of electrical construction or superintendent experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial, data center, or mission‑critical projects valued at $20M+.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Knowledge of safety standards, construction practices, and project controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant project management software.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
