Position Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Remediation Specialist with a minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental consulting, specifically in site assessment and remediation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling, and a strong working knowledge of New York and New Jersey environmental regulations.
This role involves both fieldwork and office-based tasks, including site investigations, data analysis, reporting, and client interaction. You'll be part of a dynamic team working on high-impact projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Perform soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling in accordance with NYSDEC DER-10 and NJDEP N.J.A.C. 7:26 technical guidance.
- Support remedial investigations and actions under programs such as NYS Brownfield Cleanup Program and NJDEP Site Remediation Program
- Prepare technical reports, including site investigation summaries, remedial action work plans, and regulatory submittals.
- Interpret analytical data and develop conceptual site models.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to project planning and strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation.
- Proficiency in soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion sampling techniques.
- Familiarity with NYSDEC DER-10 and NJDEP N.J.A.C. 7:26D & 7:26E remediation standards
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred).
