Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Remediation Specialist with a minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental consulting, specifically in site assessment and remediation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling, and a strong working knowledge of New York and New Jersey environmental regulations.

This role involves both fieldwork and office-based tasks, including site investigations, data analysis, reporting, and client interaction. You'll be part of a dynamic team working on high-impact projects across the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
  • Perform soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling in accordance with NYSDEC DER-10 and NJDEP N.J.A.C. 7:26 technical guidance.
  • Support remedial investigations and actions under programs such as NYS Brownfield Cleanup Program and NJDEP Site Remediation Program
  • Prepare technical reports, including site investigation summaries, remedial action work plans, and regulatory submittals.
  • Interpret analytical data and develop conceptual site models.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to project planning and strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation.
  • Proficiency in soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion sampling techniques.
  • Familiarity with NYSDEC DER-10 and NJDEP N.J.A.C. 7:26D & 7:26E remediation standards
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred).
